Red Pets is a cooperative. This means the store was customer-owned, and any profit the store made was passed along to the customers. Red Pets Cooperative was founded in 1992 with the primary (and ongoing) goal to provide access to underground culture to those who otherwise would not have that access. In 1996 the store moved its operations to the Web to further these goals.

Unfortunately, we are no longer taking on new Coop members. This is basically because we can no longer offer members any benefits to speak of. Red Pets will continue into the future, however, providing a range of services and resources in the interest of our larger mission -- providing access to underground culture and helping those outside of the corporate world a meaningful voice.
