Suburban sprawl, technological changes, the "global economy" and the growing dominance of large corporations all place our conventional views of "small town America" at odds with the world around us. In order to survive -- and sustain the high quality of life we have come to expect -- small towns must be proactive and plan for the future, not just let it happen to them.

Keith Covey is running for Mayor of Northfield because this planning is important to him. A trained civic planner who's lived, worked, and raised his family for the last 36 years in Northfield (and spent three of those years as Mayor), Keith cares deeply about the future of Northfield and wants to see it be all it can be.
