Anyone living in West Hollywood or Greenwich Village knows that places that attract creative types aren't exactly swing states. Fighting conservatism doesn't exactly happen on the local level in these places. But you also realize that people in these communities are often from a wide range of more conservative places around the country. Whether you like it or not, you know plenty about the place you left.
